Ro Coleman is a former baseball player for the Detroit Tigers organization and Vanderbilt University. He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 34th rd as an outfielder in 2017 out of Vanderbilt University. He was also drafted out of high school in the 40th rd by the Chicago White Sox in 2013 as an infielder coming out of Simeon Career Academy. Ro has played with numerous draft picks including first rounders, Tyler Beede, Carson Fulmer, Walker Buehler, Jordan Sheffield, Corey Ray, Kyle Wright, Jeren Kendall, and former number one draft pick Dansby Swanson. Ro brings a ton of knowledge to our team. Recently retired from professional baseball earlier this year to come give back to the community and create positive change. He is very eager and thrilled to help players grow to reach their full potential. VANDERBILT – Four-year starter (2014-2017) and member of the 2014 College World Series National Championship team. HIGH SCHOOL – A four-year starter at Simeon HS, where he hit .525 as a senior earning All-State honors… Was a captain on the baseball team his final three years at Simeon… Made the 18U Team USA 40-man roster… Team won back-to-back city championships in 2012-13… Regional champs in 2012 and 2010 and Sectional champs in 2012… Played with numerous collegiate athletes at Simeon and summer ball, including Louisville’s Corey Ray… Was a 40th round selection by the Chicago White Sox in 2013.
